A Night at the County Fair

We had a good ol' time at the fair last night!
I had just a few goals for the evening:
1-A hand dipped corn dog (check)
2- Family photos in the photo booth (check)
3-Mako rides a kiddie ride (check)
4-See some of the livestock (check)

Mako just barely cleared the height restrictions and rode his first kiddie ride! Of course we chose a helicopter for our Pilot in training and he was so serious the whole ride, hands locked on the joystick. Papa and I melted.

In my dreams I would have a Jersey cow, they look so sweet and gentle.

A baby pig with the saddest little squeal~

We got up close to all these beautiful cattle and some horses, too.

On our way out of the livestock barn and past a rocking concert.
Mako's first ever fresh squeezed lemonade!
He and Papa drank most of it.

Ended our evening passing by the rabbits and roosters.

Boy At Play

Makoto at 2 and 1/2 loves propellers, cars, Thomas, mechanical things of all sorts and sizes, and of course airplanes. He says "thank you" and "please". He is learning to willingly brush his teeth, with a little persuasion from his gummy vitamins...He likes to "just be cozy" in his towel after a bath. He wants to go outside and "cruise in the Taurus car". He is strong willed, energetic, observant, loving and determined. Sometimes he makes me want to pull out my hair, but other times he melts my heart. Last night I was singing "I like to be with my family!" and he made his own lyrics, "I like to be with Mama!".

Evie, 9 months

At nine months, Evie is "cruising" along furniture, standing, clapping, blowing kisses and loves strawberries and pears. Last night in the bath I asked her to say "mama"; she gave a coy grin and then uttered a perfect "mama". She also attempts "papa", sound a bit like "baba". She also likes to say "da...da...da...da". Mako tells her to say "Ma-Ko". We love her, she is cheerful and easy going.
