The Scandinavian Festival

I hadn't been to the Scandinavian Festival in years!
But I grew up attending yearly in Junction City, not far from our town.
As soon as you walk up you can smell the delicious aroma of fried pastries, sugared nuts and steak sandwiches!

Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Iceland all represented beautifully.

A delicious Finnish Fri-jo~! Piping hot and sprinkled generously in cinnamon and sugar.

Time to listen to some traditional fiddle and guitar music.

Guess who was having a hard time sharing the strawberry waffle cone...

Evie desperately licking for a Frijo!

At The Beach: Newport

Baby's first trip to the beach!
And...she's still a little too young to really appreciate it. Lot's of sand eating.

But one especially energetic 2 year old did have the time of his life.
Oh how he loved the bitter cold waves chasing him.
He was soaked by the end of this excursion.
