It was the merriest Christmas yet!
Both kids are at such fun ages.
Below is my gorgeous amaryllis.
This was my first year buying a bulb, but I hope to make it a tradition from now on as the results were so spectacular!
My little Christmas village- love those bottle brush trees!
These are the kids' stockings:
Mako is the bunny and Evie is the Teddy bear
some of Evie's presents
This is Evie's Waldorf baby doll, just waiting to be held.
I was up for at least an hour before the kids!
I was so excited to see them see their presents...
I kept making loud noises to try to wake them up haha!
Mako could see his tricycle but was not fully committed to getting out of the cozy covers.
I love that morning grin.
Evie and her new doll pram (Moover from Denmark)
Mako inspecting his tricycle.
He wanted the "baby" safety sides taken off, which Papa did gladly.
Papa also stayed up until midnight putting it together.
Thank you Papa!
Opening up the goodies in the stockings, Mako was tickled to find some chocolates
Mikan!
Then Evie really wanted to try out the tricycle...
Time to race Mako's new TRUCKS
After some crepes made by Papa, we went to an hour long church service.
It was so cold and icy, but beautifully sunny.
i was so nervous because I was accompanying my mom on the piano while she sang "Mary's Lullaby".
It went smoothly though!
I got a few picture of the kids after church. Mako went out to ride his tricycle, so these are mostly Evie in her velvet Christmas dress.
Sharing so good today!
She always wants to let the cats outside.
We ate a lunch of croissant sandwiches and then opened gifts (Evie took a nap).
Meanwhile, Masa baked and decorated a gorgeous Japanese style Christmas cake and also cooked a very tender Turkey dinner!
It was a tiring but wonderful Christmas! I'm looking forward to all the memories 2017 will bring our family!
Merry Christmas to all!
I am grateful to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ and the love he gives to us.
