Scottish Festival and Rocket launching

Saturday afternoon we headed to the local Scottish Festival. Clara was very disappointed we didn't attend last year, so we made sure to be there this year. There were no draft horses this year sadly and when I enquired one of the event workers told us there had been an accident and someone thrown. Was that for real or just for the drama? We may never know. Everyone had their fill of bagpipes, a little too much sun, cotton candy (too sticky for Mako), scottie dogs wandering about, sheep dog demonstrations and a bit of highland dancing. I do love the highland dancer's costumes, beautiful velvet jackets and tartan kilts.
Saturday didn't stop there because in the late afternoon we made and launched rockets at the local park. It was pretty exciting!

We rarely go to the park as the walk there is a bit dangerous but it is so magical, the photos don't really do it justice. It might be the perfect place for a Teddy Bear's picnic...
